The Will Smith Biography

Name: Willard Christopher Smith
Born: 25 September 1968 (Age: 42)
Where: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
Height: 6' 2"
Awards: 2 Oscar nominations, 4 Golden Globe nominations
The history of pop icon attempting to make it in Hollywood is a long and frequently sad one. Cher was a big achievement, with Jon Bon Jovi looking high-quality for the future, while the likes of David Bowie and Mick Jagger have made many a sorry attempt to cut it. The world of rap has a far better record of producing film stars. Tupac caused a major stir earlier than his untimely death; LL Cool J's star is rising, as is Queen Latifah's. And then there's the biggest of them all - Will Smith, formerly known as The Fresh Prince, surely the most successful crossover star of the modern era.
Born Willard Christopher Smith Jr on October 25th, 1968, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Smith grew up amidst the middle-classes, his mother portion on the school board and his father owning a refrigeration company, install and maintain freezer cabinets in supermarkets. The second of four children (the younger Harry and Ellen are twins), Will was a bright child, constantly playing upon his natural charm, a habit which, at Philly's legendary Overbrook High School, earned him the nickname Prince (he'd also star at the city's Julia Reynolds Master man Laboratory and Demonstration School). His upbringing would see him experience many different social circles. The Willard Christopher Smith were a Baptist family, yet Will would attend a Catholic school. His neighborhood was half populated by Orthodox Jews, and close by was a strongly Muslim area. School was 90% white, but 90% of Smith's playmates were black. Willard Christopher Smith learned how to be liked by everyone.
Influenced both by Eddie Murphy and new hip-hop heroes like Grandmaster Flash, Will began rapping at the age of 12, quickly developing his own slick, semi-comic style. Then, at age 16, he met the man with whom he would score his first worldwide success. At a party in Philadelphia, he fired a fart spray into a fan (a mechanical fan, that is, not a fan of his music), impressing no one. No one except DJ Jazzy Jeff - real name Jeff Towns - who had himself been working at music since the age of 10. The pair became firm friends and began to collaborate, Jeff as DJ, Will as rapper (having expanded his nickname to Fresh Prince). So vigorous was their pursuit of musical excellence that will even turned downward a scholarship to Boston's super-prestigious MIT in order to follow his dream. At least, that's the legend built up around this sophisticated performer. Smith himself later claimed that MIT was mentioned because he had very high SAT scores and his mother knew the admissions officer there. Two years later, Smith began his remarkable crossover into acting. Drawing on his experiences with fledgling stardom, NBC signed Smith to star in a sitcom about a street-smart kid from Philadelphia. On the show, the character is shipped off to California to live with wealthy relatives in Bell-Air, California. Playing on his rapper persona, and at times featuring his friend Towne, The Fresh Prince Of Bell-Air was a huge success that ran for six seasons.

sandra bullock biography nd much more

Sandra bullock was born Sandra Annette Bullock on the 26th of July, 1964, in Arlington, Virginia. Her mother, Helga, the daughter of a German rocket scientist, initially studied to be an opera singer in Nuremberg. To support her studies, she worked as a clerk, one day being called to the town's Palace of Justice   (where the notorious post-WW2 trials took place).   Here she was to takes letters for the new head honcho, one John Bullock. Bullock, originally from Birmingham, Alabama, was a Juilliard scholar who'd joined the Army as a runner and risen to become the boss of the military Postal Exchange for the whole of Europe. To begin with, there was no romance between the pair.
But over a three year period, with John singing at recitals (he was also a part-time voice coach), and Helga gaining renown as a dramatic soprano, they grew close and, while still in Germany, were married. John's organizational talents drew him into the Army Material Command and it was due to this work that he'd eventually become a contractor for the Pentagon, moving to Arlington and also buying a mountain property just north-west of Charlottesville. The family grew - three years after Sandra bullock came another daughter, Gesine. Sandra has led an interesting life. While she isn't one of those actresses that was born of famous parents (her dad was an Army employee and her mom was an Opera singer), her parents jobs allowed her to travel all over the world. She did spend a lot of her early acting days like many struggling actors, waiting tables, and tending bar and so on. But, it is hard to squelch a talent like Sandra's and by 1989, just 3 years after she made the decision to quit college, Sandra was working regularly in movies and television.
Right from the start, Sandra bullock was a willful and contrary child. Sandra bullock now recalls an incident when, at age three, with the family moving into a new home, she was directly instructed not to touch a light-bulb lying there. Her response was to karate-chop it and slices her hand horribly. It would not be the last physical injury she'd suffer as a youngster.
For an all-American girl-next-door, Sandra's formative years were thoroughly inappropriate. Much of her time was spent in Salzburg and in Nuremberg, where she lived with her aunt and grandma, attending a local school (she's fluent in German) and studying English with a tutor in the afternoons. During the opera season, she'd attend her mother's performances, sometimes appearing herself as the ubiquitous "gypsy child", or singing in the children's chorus. Also studying ballet, she quickly proved herself to be a natural performer.

Life Of Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez Life and Career     Jennifer Lopez was born in the Bronx, NY, on July 24, 1970; after starting out in musical theater as a child, at age 16 she made her film debut in the little-seen My Little Girl, but her career then stalled until she was tapped to become one of the dancing “Fly Girls” on the television sketch comedy series In Living Color.
A recurring role on the TV drama Second Chances followed before Lopez was thrust into the limelight co-starring with Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson in the 1995 feature film Money Train; smaller roles in pictures including My Family/Mi Familia, Jack, and Blood and Wine followed before she landed the title role in 1997′s Selena, portraying the slain Tejano singer.
Co-starring opposite George Clooney in 1998′s acclaimed Out of Sight, Lopez (the product of a Puerto Rican family) became the highest-paid Latina actress in Hollywood history; the following summer, she returned to her musical roots with her debut pop album, On the 6, scoring a major hit with the infectious single “If You Had My Love.” Lopez didn’t waste time perfecting a sophomore effort, the appropriately titled J.Lo, which was issued in early 2001. The following year Lopez released J to tha L-O!: The Remixes and This Is Me…Then, which spawned another hit single, “Jenny From the Block.”
Jennifer Lopez’s first serious screen role in Gregory Nava’s 1995 Latino melodrama My Family followed years of training in television movies and series. Like Rosie Perez, Lopez began her career as a Fly Girl — a dancer on the sketch comedy series, In Living Color — and appeared in music videos by Puff Daddy and Janet Jackson. Her big break came in 1997 when she appeared in the title role of Nava’s Selena, the story of the successful Tejano singer who was tragically murdered in 1995.
Lopez was at first cast as a femme fatale — due in no small part to her classic Latina beauty (she was born in the Bronx to parents of Puerto Rican descent) — and worked almost exclusively with acclaimed directors: Francis Ford Coppola (Jack, 1996), Oliver Stone (U-Turn, 1997), and Bob Rafelson (Blood and Wine, 1996). In 1998, she had one of her most acclaimed roles, starring opposite George Clooney in Out of Sight, Steven Soderbergh’s adaptation the Elmore Leonard novel.
Cast as a deputy federal marshal who falls for a charming criminal (Clooney), Lopez won raves for her tough, sexy performance, and in the process, she became the highest paid Latina actress in Hollywood history. That same year, she earned an introduction to a new generation of fans by lending her voice to the popular Antz (1998). The lavish but much more adult-oriented thriller The Cell (2000) followed shortly thereafter, bringing Lopez one of her first number-one openings.
In an attempt to curry favor from the rom-com crowd, Lopez lightened things up a bit opposite Matthew McConaughey in 2001′s romantic comedy The Wedding Planner. Though Lopez was consistently smooth in her frequent transitions from actress to songstress, her next role in the supernatural romance Angel Eyes (2001) failed to click with audiences and critics alike, and her role in the cathartic revenge thriller Enough (2002) likewise disappeared from theaters shortly after its release.
Though Maid in Manhattan (2002) was ultimately relegated to a similar fate as her last few films, few could anticipate the outright hostility with which her 2003 comedy Gigli would be greeted. In the movie, Lopez was cast as a female gangster assigned to keep an eye on a kidnapper (played by real-life boyfriend Ben Affleck) who is holding a psychologically challenged young boy hostage.
The harsh public backlash against the film was likely due (at least in part) to over-saturated media coverage of the duo’s tumultuous off-screen relationship. Though the film’s failure wasn’t exactly what one would call a career-ender for either star, their shoddy onscreen dynamic left many wondering if director Kevin Smith’s upcoming comedy Jersey Girl (also starring Affleck and Lopez) was already doomed months before it hit the multiplexes.
In addition to her screen work, Lopez also made news with her successful singing career on the dance/Latin pop circuit. In December 1999, she made news of a different sort when, following an altercation at a Manhattan night club, she and Sean “Puffy” Combs were involved in a high-speed chase with the police that resulted in both of their arrests. After spending 14 hours in jail, Lopez was cleared of any criminal wrongdoing.
It was reported that Lopez and Marc Anthony were taking professional business meetings at the Church of Scientology Celebrity Centre in Hollywood, California, in late 2006. It was also rumored that Lopez and Anthony became Scientologists during that period with the help of Angelo Pagan, the husband of King of Queens actress and scientologist Leah Remini. Just prior to those reports, Lopez said to NBC, “I’m not a Scientologist, I was raised Catholic. But it’s funny the way people come at it. To me it’s so strange. These are some of the best people I’ve ever met in my life.” She added, “My dad has been a Scientologist for 20 years. He’s the best man that I know in my life and so, it’s weird to me that people want to paint it in a negative way.”
On November 7, 2007, the last night of her “En Concierto” tour, Lopez confirmed she was expecting her first child with husband Marc. The announcement ended months of speculation over the pregnancy. Her father later confirmed on February 5, 2008, that she was expecting twins. Lopez gave birth on February 22, 2008 to fraternal twins, a girl and a boy, Emme Maribel Muñiz, and Maximilian “Max” David Muñiz. The twins were introduced in the March 11, 2008 issue of People magazine, for which the magazine paid $6 million.
